Photographing my Mom and Dad
July 22, 2015
It's one thing to be a photographer for hire. I love making portraits and am doing it as a career. Things are a little different when you convince your parents to step in front of your camera. I didn't want them to have to pose for too long, so we got one shot, and that's really all we needed. I love it. It captures the essence of who they are. Married for 54 years, parents to 3, granparents to 6. World travelers. Friends to many. Players of tennis and bridge. My Mom and Dad.
I will be printing this for me, for them, and for my sister and brother and all of our kids. Hopefully at least one of the printed images will still be in existence many years from now so that someone can say, "Oh wow! Those people are my great great great grandparents. I'm so glad we have this photo."
